Rationale

Sripatum University has an obvious policy of supporting and enhancing research that highlights the bodies of knowledge and the development of teaching and learning, both in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities and Science and Technology. To enhance and exchange research knowledge, the 12th National and International Sripatum University Conference (SPUCON2017) has been organized to provide an opportunity for university lecturers, scholars, researcher, and doctoral and master’s degree students from national and international institutions or universities to share their knowledge, thoughts and academic experiences with the public.

SPUCON2017 is organized by the committee comprised from universities in Thailand and overseas. The organizing committee welcomes research papers for submission. The papers will be evaluated for their quality through double-blind peer review by the conference committee and the external peer reviewers. Excellent research papers will be selected for publication in two national journals, namely “Sripatum Review of Humanities and Social Sciences” and “Sripatum Review of Science and Technology.” These two journals were indexed in the 1st tier of Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI).

Objectives
  1. To publish various bodies of knowledge to public, in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Science and Technology.
  2. To share knowledge, thoughts and academic experiences among university lecturers, scholars, researcher, and doctoral and master’s degree students from national and international universities.

Conference operation

1. Special lecture by an international keynote speaker.
2. Presenters for the selected research papers are classified by the fields of study (Social Sciences and Humanities, and Science and Technology), and the types of research, namely research for new bodies of knowledge and, research for the development of teaching and learning.

Presentation

20 minutes per presenter (15 minutes for oral presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. (No poster presentation) 
Full papers presented at the conference will be compiled into a CD-Proceedings and distributed to the authors within a month after the conference.

Payment and Paper Submission

Paper Preparation
The research and academic articles must have not been published previously. The length of an article must be between 8-10 pages in A4 size, and its format should be follow the conference committee accordingly. As for the article templates, please see the followings:

Thai presenter: 3,500 baht 
Foreign presenter: 150 US dollar
Participant: 500 baht

After online registration and payment, the author must do the following:

Submission schedule (Important dates)

3 July – 31 October 2017   The author submits the research article for consideration (8-10 pages in A4 size).
3 July – 15 November 2017   Double-blind peer review; the author sends the revised article after receiving the peer reviewers’ comments and suggestions.
20 November 2017  The committee announces the accepted research articles via the conference homepage.
20-30 November 2017  The author submits the PowerPoint file for oral presentation.
14 December 2017  The 12th National  and International Sripatum University Conference (SPUCON2017)
